The Blues

It wasn't until I started reorganizing my closet that I realized just how many blue pieces I have.  I was amazed to see that unconsciously blue was so often my colour of choice.  It's not that I didn't think I liked the colour, I just didn't know how much.  So why not wear multi tones of blue all at once?!  Totally into these combined tones & lots of sparkle.  Sparkle just makes your day that much happier, don't you think?  And I don't know about you but I'm SO happy it's Friday, it's just been one of those weeks.  Hope you put some sparkle on for a fabulous weekend!

The Classics

I had been eyeing up this sweater for ages, I mean how cute is it?!  Once I finally got my hands on it I wasn't sure whether to pair it with some trendy pants or a classic skirt.  But the classics won me over once again.  Really, you can't go wrong with them.  I'm excited to wear this sweater more casually as well, but for now I'm having fun dressing it up.  What have you got your eye on lately and how do you plan to style it?

BF

The hunt for the perfect pair of boyfriend jeans is finally over!  After a long search, I finally stumbled upon this pair at Garage.  I know, this store is targeted to teens but honestly, all of my favourite pairs of jeans are from there.  When I first saw this pair I had a moment of resist to try them, but in the end I'm sure glad I did.  They fit just right and are comfy and cute, just what I had hoped for though, Tyler doesn't seem so convinced.  He told me they should be called grandma pants and if I wanted boyfriend jeans, why wouldn't I just wear his.  OH BOYS...gotta love them.  What's your opinion on the boyfriend jean trend?

The Vest is History

This vest really is history! I purchased it at my very first Lethbridge Fashion Week during my first year of fashion school there.  It was designed by one of my profs at the time, Shelly Court.  I fell in love with the uniqueness of this piece from the moment I saw it and still love it to this day, as do I love all of Shelly's work!  Do you have any pieces you love wearing even years after you've purchased it?

Sweater Weather

There's nothing I love more in the Fall then a cozy sweater.  I had a lot of fun taking this sweater from casual day, with with my new fav boyfriend jeans, to dressing it up for a night out on the town!  At first I didn't really think that a sweater would be "dressy" appropriate but with it's delicate detailing it was made easy.  Do you ever dress up your sweaters?

London Calling

I find one of the best ways to make an outfit really stand out is to add a unique accessory.   Last year when going through my I want to wear everything British phase, I picked up this funky London belt from Topshop.  I love how it makes this simple skirt and top stand out.  On another note, I've been transitioning my wardrobe to Fall colours, I've even given myself a burgundy Fall pedi!  It seems so odd to be wearing darker colours when we've recently been having some of our hottest days of Summer.
Wearing: Top [Topshop] love this one, Skirt thrifted but love this one and this one, Sandals [Everybody Shoes], Bow Bracelet [Kate Spade], Love Bracelet [Claire's] similar, Bow Ring [Forever 21], Earrings [Hillberg & Berk], Belt [Topshop].

Black & Blue

Black and blue can be a tricky colour combo.  I feel like for years people always used to say that if you ever wore a deep blue with black it was a total fashion faux pas.  Some people may still think that.  But for some reason, right now, I'm totally obsessed with this colour combo.  Would you consider this colour combo breaking the rules?
[Totally in love with my monogram ring I recently dug out of my jewelry box!!  I had it made when I was eight.]

Office Inspiration

So Ty and I are finally getting to the last few details in our new place.  Everything is mostly done besides the office.  It's currently a blank slate, now to decorate.  I'm definitely thinking pastels, punches of gold and warm accents.  Here are a few photos of what's currently inspiring me for the office decor.  What do you think?  I'd love to get your opinions!
