Shake It Up

When asked to describe my style I often find myself saying things like feminine and girlie.  But these distressed jeans don't fit into either of those categories.  I decided to shake up my look a little by adding a little edge.  I was definitely inspired by the way A Fashion Love Affair mixes edgy and girlie in her looks.  What do you think of the mixture of the two?

The Little Things

Lately I've been thinking a lot about the meaning of happiness.  I know it sounds a bit silly but, I've come to the conclusion that happiness comes from the little things in life whether it's enjoying a cup of coffee or making a new friend.  It's those little moments that we sometimes take for granted.  Speaking of which, here are a few 'little things' from my life.

Print Mix

I had the best time last night attending my very first WMCFW!  I can't wait to head back tonight for the final evening!  Have you been to any of the shows?  

Here's what I wore last night to the shows.  By keeping with black and white I feel it makes mixing prints easier.  I'm liking this combo of lace and stripes even though at first I was a little unsure about it.  What are some of the prints you've been mixing lately?

HAPPY WMCFW!!!  I'm SO excited for my first fashion week in Toronto!  Unfortunately I will not be able to make it to the festivities until later in the week but make sure to check my Twitter & Instagram for updates.  I'm not only excited to see the talents of Canadian designers but to meet other lovers of this fashion industry!

Pink is for Parties

OK so first off I would like to say wind + lip gloss + long hair = not so much fun for shooting outdoors.        So please don't mind my flying hair and goofy facial expressions during this shoot.  I was seriously trying to act as natural as possible despite the weather conditions.
Last night I enjoyed a fabulous evening out celebrating my friend, Megan's birthday.  This is what I wore for the special occasion, my favourite colour plus a pop of neon!

A Bit Dramatic

I'm pretty sure I've talked about Spring almost every post for the past couple weeks but really, over here Spring fever is happening to the major. Now that the days are even longer, I can't help but lust for the warmer temps & the beautiful blooming.  And nothing says Spring like floral print and bright colours.  I'm being a bit dramatic by combining the two.   What are you wearing in preparation for Spring?

Weekend Fun

  

This past weekend my mom came down to the city for a visit.  It was so nice having her here!  We had so much fun exploring the cities restaurants, shops and going to P!nk's awesome concert!  It really is amazing how much there is to discover in a city of this size, even after living here for over half a year.  Here's a little look into what we were up to via my Instagram photos and one shot before we headed to the concert.

Sporty Spice

I'm pretty sure I haven't felt this 'sporty' since I put on gym clothes. It's fun to switch things up from my average day-to-day style every once and awhile.  Also, I'm simply mad about these silky pants & this coat.  I can tell you for sure that you will be seeing them again in the near future.  What are you currently loving for Spring?
