The Next Chapter



The day has come...MOVING DAY! By the time you read this (as I left Regina at the crack of dawn) I've most likely landed in TO and am in my very bare condo. Now it's time for the real mayhem to begin! Wish me luck as I unpack, set up and great ready for school in just ONE week! The Newest Addition

The newest addition to my bootie collection!  How cute are these? And they have amazing support meaning no sore feet at the end of the day.  I'll probably be living in these in the coming months.

My Kind of Dressy

Since Sunday I've been running around non stop/packing, getting ready for the big move Monday.  And I'd love to show you what I've been wearing for those activities but then this wouldn't be a very fashionable blog.  Little sweat shorts (which actually are kind of cute) have been my go to, along with no makeup and some funky hair knot on the top of my head.  Yesterday, I'd finally had enough of my frumpiness and decided to dress things up a bit.  This outfit is currently my kind of dressy!  Amongst all my running around, I visited my amazing hair dresser, Kaela, to spice up my doo a little.  What do you think?  I'm loving the colour change, it's minimal but just enough.  Have a great Thursday!  Thanks for stopping by.

Tunes Tuesday

Hey sweets! I'm currently packing, packing, packing.  Not much exciting to update you on there so I'll keep this short and sweet.  Last night, in the midst of packing mayhem, I FINALLY decided to purchase Marina and The Diamond's Electra Heart album, and let me tell you it's a catchy one! I've been obsessing over her Primadonna song for ages now which makes me wonder what took me so long to purchase the album.  Either way, have it now, love it now, you must listen now.  Here's the tune that got me hooked.   Happy Tunes Tuesday...xo

Going Away Bash

 On Saturday Ty & I had our going away bash! We had SO much fun with our close group of friends.  Our parents spoiled us with yummy food and the cutest decorations.  We were fortunate to have beautiful weather so we were able to spend time out in the yard.  Here are the goofy pics Ty shot for me, with a guest appearance of the fabulous Jaycee, prior to the guests arriving.  I did intend to take more as people got there but I was so wrapped up in conversations and everyones company I didn't get to.  Hope you all had a fantastic weekend.  Now back to packing for me...! xo

Dressed Up With No Where To Go

It's FRIDAY...and you know what that means...it's the weekend...and I'm officially done work (at the end of the day)! WAHOO! This weekend is the start of  the whole moving shabang.  The next week contains a family brunch, a going away bash, packing, cleaning, hair appointment, purchasing last minute things for the new place and the list goes on. To sum it up, it's going to be one busy week and I'm looking forward to EVERY minute of it.  Maybe I can enjoy a bit of summer this week as well, I'd love to lay out in the sun for awhile and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Here I'm all dressed up for no apparent reason other than because I felt like it.  Once again, I'm wearing white denim (which I can't get enough of) along with my favorite lilac peplum top from H&M.  I topped it off with silver Le Chateau pumps and a delicate necklace I surprising found awhile back at American Eagle.

City Shoes

If you know me personally, you will know I have a mad obsession for shoes.  If I ever bring up the word shoes in front of my close family or friends their reaction is always ANOTHER PAIR? Do you really need them?  I would like to say yes every time because really, you can't walk around without shoes, right? And why would I want to walk around with the same pair of shoes everyday? That would be so boring! I currently own a lot of heels, high ones, with platforms and many other 'these aren't so comfy but look super cute' shoes.  But living in Regina we drive EVERYWHERE.  That's just how things work around here. So does it really matter if your feet are pinching you when walking from your car to your destination? No! But, Toronto has a totally different lifestyle.  I will be walking EVERYWHERE.  I clearly can't be wearing 5 inch heels to walk to school (though that would be quite the accomplishment).  Plus, what about all those grates in the ground...I'd get stuck in one for sure.  So you see where I've come to a dilemma?  What will I wear day to day that's comfy yet cute?  Does this mean I'm stuck in boots and flats forever?! If you live in a city/walk a lot what shoes do you find yourself wearing on a daily basis?

Sweet & Simple

SO was anyone else glued to the TV this weekend watching the Olympics!?  Ok, maybe it was just me as I spent most of my weekend in bed recovering from feeling a bit under the weather.  But seriously, the past two weeks of the Olympics were amazing.  I'm super bummed they're over. Was anyone else SO excited they got to see their childhood idols, the Spice Girls, perform at the closing ceremony? [THEY WERE AMAZING!] Actually, overall the closing ceremonies were amazing. Also, a big congrats to all the athletes! What an accomplishment to just be able to compete in the Olympics.

Ok, enough gushing over my love for the Olympics.  Here's a look I wore Sunday eve for a nice dinner at home with the family.  The pictures are a little goofy as Tyler was making fun of me while taking them.  What a brat! I love this look, I wore it multiple times throughout the summer just changed it up with different accessories.  And I know, you keep seeing this Mango bag.  I can't get enough of it!

TWO WEEKS TODAY I MOVE.  THIS IS MY LAST WEEK OF WORK. GAH!

NWL Fall Preview With My Boots Photography

Last week I had the privilege to preview NWL's Fall collection and let me tell you, it's one stunning collection!  There was so much delicate beading...I'm in love! If you have never visited NWL you may not know what it is.
