Studying Ensemble

Speaking of toques, this is one of my new favs!  It tops off my super casual study ensemble perfectly.  Today is the last day of classes before finals.  I can't believe the end of the semester is actually here. But before I get all into the books I'll be taking tomorrow off to celebrate my 23rd birthday!

Trendy Toques

I just wanted to let you all know my new love of toques.  Not only do they look cute, they are warm for the cool weather and are sure to hide my messy hair on bad hair days.  So many benefits!  And might I add that how convenient is it that it is now a huge trend?  They've been seen all over the place from street style to fashion weeks and are sure to be found on every trendy apparel site.  Heres a little look at a few of my favs!

The Little Extras

Ty & I have been living in our little home-in-the-sky for 3 months now.  We've seen a bare space come to life through decor, a lot of sweat and a few tears.  Though our space has come a long way, we're still working on the little extras.  If you look around our place we still have a lot of bare walls, table tops and shelving.  A lot of thought and time go into these extras. I've been looking around for inspiration from the antique shops of Queen West to the home decor stores of TO to the source of so much inspiration, Pinterest.  Here's a little inspo for our home in the near and far future.

Comfy & Cozy

Yesterday was an homework, internship, school, run-around-like-a-crazy-person kind of day.  On a busy day like this, when rolling out of bed, I think staying in my pjs would be the most practical outfit for the day.  After a cup of coffee and talking some sense into myself I usually go for the next best thing.  This sweater I picked up in NYC was it.  It was perfect for the Toronto Fall temperatures I've grown to love so much; comfy & cozy.

Sneaker Love

I've recently developed a new love for these sneakers.  Not only are they comfortable & practical for city living, they are extremely stylish.  In a way they remind me of something I wore in my childhood, though the wedge makes them feel grown up.  While in NYC I picked up a colourful pair of these sneakers and now I'm lusting for another...possibly a neutral. Are you loving this trend?

New York City

I had the best weekend in NYC!  It was so nice to see my friends, mom and aunt!  We spent the weekend shopping, doing tons of walking, grabbing some yummy eats, checking out the cities Christmas decor, a nice pre birthday dinner for myself and overall enjoying each others company.  Before I knew it the weekend was over and I was back to reality in TO.  So many fond memories to now reflect on.  Heres a bit of a photo diary of my weekend via my camera & Instagram. Pop of Colour

Whenever I'm in a rush to get ready, my go to colour is black.  It makes you feel put together instantly. I also like to add bold accessories and a pop of colour to make it a little more fun!
Well, I'd better get to some last minute packing and finishing up on some homework before I leave to NYC tomorrow! It's going to be so nice to have a weekend away.  Can't wait!!!

Spring in my Step

It was about a two weeks since I last saw the sunshine, we've had so many gloomy days.  On Saturday we were lucky to get a day of sun!  When the sun is shining you just feel so much better, puts a little spring in your step!  Though this outfit doesn't exactly scream fall, it was perfect for an afternoon of doing some running around.  Hope you all had a great weekend!
