Dirty Laundry

Hey lovelies!  We are changing things up today on the blog with a lifestyle post--hope you enjoy!  While I was on a leave from the blog, I took a spontaneous trip to visit one of my best girlfriend's in Kelowna, BC.  Growing up, Kelowna was somewhat of a second home to me as my grandparents lived there.  We often spent a lot of time there during the summer and winter months.  If you've never been, I'd highly recommend visiting.  It's an extremely breathtaking city with a nice relaxed vibe.  There are a lot of great things to do there from water sports to shopping to skiing in the mountains to golfing to some extremely tasty dining.  One of my favourite things to do there is visit the beautiful wineries.  Fortunately, my girlfriend Victoria took me out to the beautiful Dirty Laundry Vineyard in Summerland (a short drive from Kelowna) for some wine tasting and some breathtaking views.  This winery has quite the background story -- an entrepreneur of the early 1900's decided to start up a laundry matt which was also secretly a brothel. That's how the winery got it's name & theme. If you're ever in the area, I would definitely recommend checking out this winery.  With it's corky theme it sets itself out from the others.  Here are a few snaps Victoria and I took while visiting the winery.

Follow Your Arrow

The past couple weeks have definitely been crazy for me as I've decided pack up, leave Toronto and  to spend a few quality months at home on the prairies.  Although I will (temporarily) miss the big city life, I decided to follow my intuition.  So until September, this Toronto city girl will be blogging to you via another city, a much smaller city, Regina, Saskatchewan.  Overall, I'm excited for my adventurous summer escape.
This sheer/lace dress has to be one of my favourite summer pieces! I've loved wearing it so many different ways.  This is just one of the fun ways I've paired this versatile piece.

Hello Cincinnati

I'm currently visiting Cincinnati, OH with my mom to cheer her on as she ran the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon. For those of you who don't know, a full marathon is 42.2 km (26.2 miles)!  I seriously have no clue how she does it but I do know how proud I am of her (I often tear up when I see her coming across the finish line). What an inspiration!
While in Cincinnati we have been enjoying exploring the beautiful city, restaurants and of course doing some serious shopping.  This is a little glimpse of our weekend.

Mexico Roundup

An impromptu girls trip to Mexico to start off 2014 was much needed and enjoyed!  Lots of laughs and relaxing was the perfect way to start off the year.  My wardrobe consisted mostly of swimsuits and beach coverups, oh, and my new favourite mini floral crown.  As much as I'd love to keep wearing these beachy pieces, I'm back to reality in Toronto now anxiously anticipating Spring.  Here's a tiny roundup of my beachy getaway.

Ask Sare: What's to Come in 2014

A New Year means new goals.  I think it's important to make goals for yourself whether they are big or small.  What better way to start off a New Year then with a question from a reader asking me what's ahead for me in 2014!  Well, here are a few goals I plan to achieve on this year.  What's ahead for you in 2014?

Side note: I'm currently vacationing in Mexico.  A nice, relaxing vacation is the perfect way to kick off the New Year.  Stay tuned for more blog posts coming next week and a vacation recap upon my return.

NYC

Hi lovelies!  I had such a wonderful weekend in NYC with my girlfriends!  We shopped through Soho, watched Romeo and Juliet on Broadway and enjoyed some fab meals.  This is what I wore one of the days in the city.  I was so happy to have my big Target x Phillip Lim tote as it held everything I needed for our busy days perfectly.

I'm Back

Happy Monday lovelies!! It's so good to be back to blogging.  The past couple weeks have been so crazy with moving and time in Cali, but SO much fun!!! And don't get confused, you are at the right blog, my hair is just beachy blonde and I have a nice tan going on.  I feel like such a beach bum but maybe that's why I am missing Cali so much.   

Today's outfit is all about simplicity.  Simple pieces put together which are cute yet practical.  Sometimes it's just nice to slip into something so simple and be out the door without a fuss.  I'm totally loving this Zara skort.  I was a little skeptical about it at first because it's such a popular item, but truthfully it's just SO comfortable and seems to go with pretty much everything I've tried, it was hard to resist.  What do you think?  Do you own this skort from Zara?
