Girl on the Go

Hey lovelies! If you are still here, despite the dust bunnies rolling around Sare in the City, thank you for staying tuned!  I have a ton to update you on!  First off, school has been just crazy.  7 classes in one semester, I don’t recommend it.  But I’m getting through and learning  a lot.  Secondly, for awhile there I had a lack of creative juices flowing.  I bought about 10 magazines, watched a bunch of old films and luckily they saved me and got my creative self back up to par.  Sidenote…I recently did the art direction and photography for a photoshoot and I can’t wait to show you guys the images…they are insane!  Everything from the model to scenery to wardrobe and the overall whole team…everyone just rocked it!  Lastly, I have been using a lot of my spare time to work on my fitness.  Working out has been such a great outlet for me although sometimes I get carried away when my 1 hour work out exceeds 2 hours.  Oh well, you know I am doing something good for my health and wellbeing.  Anyways, that pretty much sums up my life over the past month.  You are all caught up.

Today’s outfit is simply a few of my current go to pieces.  A combination of comfort and style is key for a busy city girl on the go.  That’s why I find it key to have a few great statement pieces such as this coat/sweater/whatever it is that I recently picked up from H&M.  I seriously throw it on over anything.  And although at a glance it slightly looks like a housecoat…I still think it’s just great.

Thanks for stopping by!
XO Sare

Baseball Caps on the Go

Hey lovelies!  I hope your weekend was fabulous.  Ty and I had some family and friends visit this weekend, it was a lot of fun!  We are also expecting more company this week.  It's such a busy time of year.  Along with the hectic schedule comes casual attire.  A baseball cap has definitely been my go to with everything as it's an easy way to tame my hair & it looks super cute.  I love this pink one I picked up on super sale a few weeks ago at J. Crew.  I think a lot of people have misconceptions about baseball caps being fashionable, but paired with the right thing and they make for a fun accessory.

Uniform

Lately, I've been repeating a few pieces in my wardrobe, conforming to some kind of "uniform".  These pieces consisting of jeans, a pink cardigan and these layered jewels.  Obviously, with my favourite colour being pink, throwing on this pop of colour automatically puts me in a good mood. And as for the jewels, I love how the contrasting materials work together to give off a totally pretty feminine vibe.
I'm SUPER excited to have my mom come visit this week!  She hasn't come out to visit me in quite some time so we have a lot of Toronto exploring/shopping to do!

On The Prairies

Hey lovelies!  I hope all you Canadian's had a fabulous long weekend & everyone else, a great start to the week.  I've had such a wonderful time visiting home.  While I've been home I was able to work with my good friend and fellow blogger, Tia, to do these photos.  It was a lot of fun! And thank you to Sara at the fabulous local retailer, World of Trout, for the fab clothing.  If you are in Saskatchewan, be sure to check them out!

I love this dress!  Not only is it a cool Fall floral print, it's actually a cord material, perfect to be paired with boots and tights for the colder days coming up.  And how cute is this sweater?  It's only $40! Totally loving this cute & cozy attire!

Wearing: Bag, Dress & Sweater all thank you to Sara at World of Trout, Boots [Aldo] similar, Sunnies [Zara] similar.

Varsity

Hey lovelies!  So today is definitely a casual Friday.  Nothing beats simple jeans and t-shirt.  I love this t-shirt I recently picked up from Pink.  It just screams some type of varsity team to me.

I'm so excited to be heading home today for a nice little holiday! I will be spending the weekend with all of my friends and family.  Also, extremely excited for a yummy turkey dinner!  For all you Canadians, how will you be spending Thanksgiving?  Hope you have an amazing weekend!

Black & Blue

Black and blue can be a tricky colour combo.  I feel like for years people always used to say that if you ever wore a deep blue with black it was a total fashion faux pas.  Some people may still think that.  But for some reason, right now, I'm totally obsessed with this colour combo.  Would you consider this colour combo breaking the rules?

Evening Spring Brights

Do you ever purchase and item of clothing and think you can only wear it on a dressy occasion?  By simply pairing something dressy with the right pieces it's easy to dress it down.  I decided to dress down this colourful, fun skirt from Jacob for an evening out with friends.  By pairing it with flats and a casual top, it dresses down the skirt just enough.  Don't forget to add some great accessories to add a little something!  By wearing pieces in a dressy and casual way is a great way to make multiple use of pieces that you already have in your closet!

Have a great Monday,
