Fallin' for the City

I am SO happy to be back in Toronto!  Every time I come back to this beautiful city I fall in love with it all over again.  Ever since I've been back in the city I have constantly been on the go--decorating my new place, starting up classes again & of course adventuring the city with friends.  It's safe to say I am loving life and this new season.  With the Fall season comes lots of layers which is a lot of fun for creative types like myself--it allows me to mix textures/prints together, a favourite thing of mine.
Abby and I always have so much fun shooting together...the pic below pretty much sums up what half the time we are shooting looks like! Make sure to check out her fabulous blog for some pics I shot of her in this edgy/pretty dirty back alley.

A City Girls Best Friend...

…is the current sneaker trend.  Ever since I sold off my vehicle and moved to the big city, my main means of transportation are my own two feet.  And let me tell you, I have tried every "oh these are super cute and really comfy" shoes out there.  And yes, they are comfy for the first 10 minutes of walking but when you are constantly on your feet, they start to hurt.  So when the sneaker trend became a thing, I was right on it.  I can walk in these for hours and never a problem.  For my damaged feet, these are like walking on clouds.  If you haven't tried the sneaker trend, do, your feet will be thankful!

Back to it!

Hey lovelies!!  I’m so very excited to be back to the blog today!  And I just wanted to say thank you for allowing me some time to be with my family.  This week I will be introducing an exciting new element to the blog, so stay tuned for that exciting post.  But today is all about chic layers.  As soon as it gets cooler, I seem to always opt for a sweater.  What cuter way then with a fun skirt, my fav tights, a collared shirt and my fav new bling, this necklace I found at Target.  By adding a few dressier pieces instead of the usual jeans, you can really dress up a sweater!  How are you wearing sweaters this season?

Pattern Play

What could be more fun then a little pattern play?  I currently can't get enough of these camo pants, I've actually paired them with pretty much everything, including this plaid patterned scarf.  As far as I'm concerned, like leopard print, it's pretty much a neutral.  On another note, how ironic is it that I totally match my surroundings; Fall colouring to the max!  How do you feel about mixing patterns?

On The Prairies

Hey lovelies!  I hope all you Canadian's had a fabulous long weekend & everyone else, a great start to the week.  I've had such a wonderful time visiting home.  While I've been home I was able to work with my good friend and fellow blogger, Tia, to do these photos.  It was a lot of fun! And thank you to Sara at the fabulous local retailer, World of Trout, for the fab clothing.  If you are in Saskatchewan, be sure to check them out!

I love this dress!  Not only is it a cool Fall floral print, it's actually a cord material, perfect to be paired with boots and tights for the colder days coming up.  And how cute is this sweater?  It's only $40! Totally loving this cute & cozy attire!

Varsity

Hey lovelies!  So today is definitely a casual Friday.  Nothing beats simple jeans and t-shirt.  I love this t-shirt I recently picked up from Pink.  It just screams some type of varsity team to me.

I'm so excited to be heading home today for a nice little holiday! I will be spending the weekend with all of my friends and family.  Also, extremely excited for a yummy turkey dinner!  For all you Canadians, how will you be spending Thanksgiving?  Hope you have an amazing weekend!

Meow

Hey lovelies!! There are two things that make me so happy about this outfit...the fact that it's that perfect time of year where it's possible to wear just the right amount of layers AND my Phillip Lim for Target bag!  And quite the story I have for you about my Phillip Lim purchase.  The day the bags came out, I had honestly totally forgotten about it.  When I woke up and was going through my Instagram feed I noticed people were already at the Target stores purchasing the bags.  So, I threw on my clothes and off to Target I went, VIA subway that is.  About 45 mins after leaving home, I got to a bunch of empty Phillip Lim shelves, as if it had never happened.  Luckily, back home in Saskatchewan, the Target was hardly touched.  And all thanks to my mom I landed some fab finds, including this bag!  If you landed some of the Phillip Lim pieces, what's your purchasing story?

Currently Craving: Fall Fragrance Favourites

Hey lovelies! I hope you all had a splendid weekend!  My weekend was pretty low key, I spent most of it getting work done around the house.  Anyways...I'm excited to share with you a couple fragrances that are on my wish list right now.  I'm usually pretty into sweet, light scents, which Prada's Candy L'eau & Zara's Black Peony are.  But, Estee Lauder's Modern Muse & Marc Jacobs' Honey are a little more darling.  I know I can't have them all so I do need to decide on which one I'd like for the Fall.  Do you have any favourite scents right now or have you tried any of these?  I'd love hear your feedback!

Have a great start to the week!

Tweed for Fall

Tweed has always been a favourite textured textile of mine, it just seems so luxurious.  Maybe it's all that tweed I see on Chanel's runway every year.  I purchased this tweed blazer from Target back in the Spring and I haven't worn it a whole lot just yet.  I'm not exactly sure why as it's combines so many of my favourite colours.  What is your opinion on tweed?
