City Chic

There's just something about getting a fabulous deal that totally gives me a rush of excitement!  Last week, I was on the hunt for some coloured denim.  I tried on a bunch of colours (in high waisted of course as anything that sits at my hips is pretty much a lost cause due to my long torso), the lighter colours I was originally eyeing up didn't quite do me justice when I put them on.  When I slipped into these, I was instantly happy with the fit, the comfort, the small ripped detailing and the colour.  And to my surprise, these bad boys were on sale for $15!!!  So obviously I couldn't leave without them.

I decided to pair this fab pair of denim with some classic pieces-- something city chic.  For a girl on the go there's nothing quite like a simple outfit paired with some statement pieces such as this fur collar, statement necklace and bright bag.

Transition

When I saw a fellow blogger wearing this top, I went on a mad hunt through the various Zara's in TO to find it in my size.  I know, I could've just bought it online but I wanted it for an event on the day I had discovered it.  I love that it is a perfect transition piece from Winter to Spring combining neutrals and brights.  It's pretty much been my uniform lately.

On another note, I can't believe all the devastation that has gone on in Boston this week.  Boston is in my prayers.

Have a fabulous weekend,
Don't forget you can find me on Twitter, Bloglovin & Instagram!

Evening Spring Brights

Do you ever purchase and item of clothing and think you can only wear it on a dressy occasion?  By simply pairing something dressy with the right pieces it's easy to dress it down.  I decided to dress down this colourful, fun skirt from Jacob for an evening out with friends.  By pairing it with flats and a casual top, it dresses down the skirt just enough.  Don't forget to add some great accessories to add a little something!  By wearing pieces in a dressy and casual way is a great way to make multiple use of pieces that you already have in your closet!

Have a great Monday,

Rubber Booties

So I know it took me awhile but I FINALLY purchased a pair of rubber booties.  I was very particular when trying to find a pair of boots and just recently stumbled upon the cutest pair.  My mom actually had purchased this same pair first.  When I laid eyes on them I knew I had to have them.  So thank you mom for discovering then later purchasing me these bad boys, my dry feet are forever grateful to you.

Also, just wanted to add I had so much fun at the Lou Lou Shop 'Til You Drop Event at the Eaton Centre on Tuesday eve!  There were fun giveaways, great deals, lots of treats creating an overall whole lot of fun!  Did you check it out?  What was the best deal you received?

Hope you have a happy Thursday,

Thanks Kim Ernst for the photos!

Sare's Festival Style

As the season of festivals quickly approaches, I thought I'd put together some inspiration of some key pieces I think every girl needs for those fun festivities!  What are the key pieces you take along with you to festivals?

P.S. Not to be fooled, that is me in the flower crown on the bottom right sporting my new hair colour.  Loving the lighter shade!

Have a fab day,
Sare
