Fallin' for the City

I am SO happy to be back in Toronto!  Every time I come back to this beautiful city I fall in love with it all over again.  Ever since I've been back in the city I have constantly been on the go--decorating my new place, starting up classes again & of course adventuring the city with friends.  It's safe to say I am loving life and this new season.  With the Fall season comes lots of layers which is a lot of fun for creative types like myself--it allows me to mix textures/prints together, a favourite thing of mine.
Abby and I always have so much fun shooting together...the pic below pretty much sums up what half the time we are shooting looks like! Make sure to check out her fabulous blog for some pics I shot of her in this edgy/pretty dirty back alley.

Don't Quit Your Daydream

When life gets crazy, it can be difficult to take the time to enjoy the things you're passionate about.  A beautiful shoot in a blooming Toronto park reminded me to not quit my daydream--always make the time for the little things in life that make me happy.  I hope this weekend you take the time to do something that makes your wild heart happy.

Shades of Lace

When you think Spring layers, you usually think light pastels but somedays there is nothing better then black.  I've been dying to wear this black slip I recently thrifted.  It actually works perfectly under this skirt I picked up awhile back for a whole 10 bucks. I'm feeling very festival-ish in this look, maybe it's a sign of me secretly being extremely jealous of everyone who attended Coachella, this year looked to be perfection, as always.  Have a great rest of your Monday.
Wearing: Boots on sale [Call it Spring], Necklace [Forever 21] & Sunnies [Kate Spade] similar.  Everything else is old or thrifted.

City Girl on the Go

A couple of weekends ago I had the pleasure of having one of my good friends, Tia (and her hubby) visit Ty and I in the city.  Tia joined me on my Friday routine of classes and doing my errands around the city.  While running around, Tia insisted we do impromptu photos in the rain.  It was fun to shoot photos totally at random, they truly display my life as a city girl on the go.
Along with my neutral ensemble I added some pops of colour to cheer up the gloomy day.  I'm especially obsessed with my pink Ban.do heart pin.  Every time I wear it I get about a zillion compliments.

Kimono Crazy

From top left clockwise: 1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6 // 7

Hey lovelies! Over the past few months I have been taking a class where I've been getting an in-depth look on how and where the Kimono all started.  It's very interesting to see how in current day we interpret this historical piece. Lately I've noticed more and more pieces that are Kimono inspired.  I guess you can call me Kimono crazy!  With a flowy silhouette, pretty prints & beautiful detailing, how can you not love them?

Baseball Caps on the Go

Hey lovelies!  I hope your weekend was fabulous.  Ty and I had some family and friends visit this weekend, it was a lot of fun!  We are also expecting more company this week.  It's such a busy time of year.  Along with the hectic schedule comes casual attire.  A baseball cap has definitely been my go to with everything as it's an easy way to tame my hair & it looks super cute.  I love this pink one I picked up on super sale a few weeks ago at J. Crew.  I think a lot of people have misconceptions about baseball caps being fashionable, but paired with the right thing and they make for a fun accessory.

Shopping is my Cardio

Hey lovelies!  How is your week going?  If you are in Toronto I hope you are staying warm.  We have seriously had the weirdest week, one day it's Spring and the next day we are wrapped up in a winter storm.  Needless to say, it is definitely rubber boots season.  These pretty pink boots will be on my feet until the snow is gone.  As for this super cute sweater, my brother bought it for me as a gift; it's so perfect, especially for this weekend with my mom.  We've been tearing up the stores this week and having so much fun!  What are your plans for the weekend?  Whatever they are, I hope they're fabulous.
