A New Leaf

Hey lovelies! Wow, has it been awhile or what?! This summer has been a bit crazy for me.  I have been going through some big personal life changes and unfortunately something had to give, and that something was the blog.  My leave of absence was extended a lot longer then intended.  As much as I'd love to pour my heart out to you all about this roller coaster like summer, I figure it's best to just start this new leaf in my life expressing one of my greatest passions, fashion.  Hope you guys enjoy this look and thank you so much for sticking around and catching up with me on Sare in the City!  I'm so excited to be back!

Follow Your Arrow

The past couple weeks have definitely been crazy for me as I've decided pack up, leave Toronto and  to spend a few quality months at home on the prairies.  Although I will (temporarily) miss the big city life, I decided to follow my intuition.  So until September, this Toronto city girl will be blogging to you via another city, a much smaller city, Regina, Saskatchewan.  Overall, I'm excited for my adventurous summer escape.
This sheer/lace dress has to be one of my favourite summer pieces! I've loved wearing it so many different ways.  This is just one of the fun ways I've paired this versatile piece.
Wearing: Dress [Forever 21], Booties from Macy's, Bralette from Uforia Muse (Regina, SK), Kimono [H&M], Necklace [Forever 21] similar, Tank [Dynamite], Shorts [Brandy Melville].

Inspired By Wildfox

Hey lovelies! I hope all is well.  I'm excited to say I have just completed another year of university!  And as soon as my exams were done I was on a plane home, where I currently am.  I was welcomed back by snow.  Yes, you heard me, snow! It feels like Christmas and not in a good way.  Although, it's so nice to see my family and friends and to take a break after a crazy year.
I recently laid eyes on Wildfox's Summer 2014 Lookbook, Royal Romance and it's simply magical! Here is a brief glance at a few of my favourites from the lookbook.  Be sure to check out the whole lookbook here!

Uniform

Lately, I've been repeating a few pieces in my wardrobe, conforming to some kind of "uniform".  These pieces consisting of jeans, a pink cardigan and these layered jewels.  Obviously, with my favourite colour being pink, throwing on this pop of colour automatically puts me in a good mood. And as for the jewels, I love how the contrasting materials work together to give off a totally pretty feminine vibe.
I'm SUPER excited to have my mom come visit this week!  She hasn't come out to visit me in quite some time so we have a lot of Toronto exploring/shopping to do!
Wearing: Cardigan [Forever 21], Jeans [Zara], Boots [Nine West], Watch my dad's, Bracelet from Hudson's Bay, Pearl Necklace [J. Crew], Happy Necklace [Baublebar], Hat from Cade.

Colourful Pop

There is no doubt that I love colour.  Adding some colour to my daily wardrobe makes me one happy girl.  So obviously, I'm totally crazy about this stunning colourful necklace from Obviously Chic.  I love the colour combos and beautiful floral crystal pattern--it's the perfect colourful pop to any neutral outfit.

It's been such a busy week in my household as I'm heading to Saskatchewan for a week coming up.  It'll be so nice to spend time with family.  But, I'm most excited that I finally get to meet my God Daughter, Maya!

Ask Sare: Current Beauty Favourites

Hi Lovelies!  You have been asking about some of my current beauty favourites--so I decided to narrow it down to my top 5.  Hopefully you can find this post useful.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact me!
I was recently back on the market for a new foundation.  After a while of using the same product, I think it's good to change it up.  One of my girl friends recommended me try this BB cream by Tarte.  I tried a sample before I bought and at first, I wasn't so sure about its texture.  After a couple uses, I was hooked.  I like that it doesn't feel super heavy, one layer is great for day but it's build-able coverage is great for when I need more coverage.  [My skin is combination.]
In the winter months, you can't help but load on the lip balm.  I am currently loving this Nivea balm, its soft and the scent is super nice.

Well, I am obsessed with the entire Fresh skin care line.  I was gifted this face oil for Christmas and I'm really liking it.  I feel like it hydrates my skin that extra amount it needs in these dryer months.  [If you guys ever wanted to hear more about the line, let me know and I can do a post on it.]
This MAC eyelash curler, I could NOT live without.  My eyelashes are awful, when natural, they actually somewhat curl down--seriously, it's the WORST!  Needless to say, an eyelash curler is my BEST friend.  I really like the curling power of this one.  A little extra tip for those of you who were blessed with eyelashes like mine, heat up the eyelash curler a bit (test on your hand before using by your eyelashes) with a blowdryer, then curl.  It definitely speeds up the curling process.

Because my eyelashes are so straight, they require very particular mascara.  I have only ever found 3 (including this one) that I've ever liked.  This one, by Too Faced, is by far my favourite.  Thanks to this mascara, my eyelashes have never looked so good.  Like the BB cream, this mascara is very build-able.  One or two layers for day and build up a few more for larger then life eyelashes for night.

Have a fabulous weekend darlings,
XO

Dreamy Gems

Hey lovelies!!  So even though it's Fall, I've been wearing a lot of light colours lately.  Even though pastels are big for Fall this year, somehow it just seems so funny to me that I'm totally into this colour palette at this time of year. Another thing I'm totally into is this statement necklace I recently picked up at Aldo; I love the all its glitz.
Speaking of Fall, it's already getting so chilly, its got me thinking of winter.  I'm already buying my winter gear.  I'm super excited about my new UGG winter boots that are waterproof, warm and cute--can't wait to show you!  They were actually an early birthday gift from my mom, so thank you mom, can't wait to have cozy feet when the snow hits!  What type of purchases will you be making this year to prepare yourself for the winter season?

Wearing: Necklace recent from Aldo, Sweater old, Button Up, Jeans, Boots similar, Coat old, Sunnies similar.
