The Cold Shoulder

I'm baaaack! I was enjoying our long weekend here in Canada. Though I worked through part of it, I had a blast with friends and family the rest of the weekend.  I hope you all had a great weekend as well.

What a beautiful night this was! Last Wednesday was Ty and I's second anniversary.  We enjoyed a beautiful dinner at my favorite restaurant, The Willow, which you may remember from here.  I couldn't resist getting some pics on this beautiful eve right before dinner.

I was never really fond of the cut out shoulder trend until I found this dress at Coda.  When trying it on I honestly thought it would look as if I was wearing a bag.  I was surprised of how flattering I found it. And it was on sale...how could I resist?
{How could I not show you how handsome Ty looked?}

Colour Blocking

Do you ever wake up, try on a million things and nothing feels 'just right'?  Well this was one of those days.  I'm not sure what I was in the mood for but nothing was working out.  So I decided to keep things super simple with this maxi and tank.  I surprisingly loved the yellow and blue combo.  Unexpected match of perfection.  Neutral accessories were a perfect fit for the outfit to add a little something.  And off I went...to condo furniture shop.  And let me tell you, this is one heck of a process.  Things are finally starting to fall into place but it takes a lot of time comparing different products, dimensions, colours and fabrics.  And to think I haven't even started to pack.  Good thing I work well under pressure!

Have a great Thursday!

My Boots Photography

I am excited to reveal to you the shoot I did with Christina of My Boots Photography. {Which I had previewed for you here.}  I'm loving the feminine vibe from these photos.  We had a lot of fun finding different places to shoot around the city.  Christina is one very talented lady! Hopefully we can work together again in the future.  Make sure to check out more of her fabulous work on her FB page here!

I was also receiving a lot of feedback about my lipstick.  I'm glad so many people were loving the risk I took with a PURPLE lipstick and not your usual pink or red.  Every so often I like to change things up with my makeup and take a little risk like I did here.  I especially love how this one makes my green eyes POP!  The colour is Revlon #660 Creme Berry Haute.  I like to add a little shine with either a clear or light pink gloss.
